Andrew Higgins has worked across all aspects of the music education spectrum: private educator, classroom teacher, consultant, performer, publisher, pointing always in the direction of creative musicianship. Studying piano at The London College of Music before graduating with first class honours from The University of Surrey for performing and composing specialisms, before working for Alfred Music delivering clinics worldwide advocating progressive piano methods focussed on conceptual learning and practical application. Taking these ideas one step further to develop them in So You Want to Learn to Improvise which derives creative content from the practical application of conceptual knowledge.
